{"id":45,"date":"2017-10-07T16:42:40","date_gmt":"2017-10-07T14:42:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lassaad.com\/gb\/?page_id=45"},"modified":"2021-07-13T10:10:41","modified_gmt":"2021-07-13T08:10:41","slug":"mask","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.lassaad.com\/gb\/mask\/","title":{"rendered":"Mask"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Your attention must be drawn to the importance of the masks used within the Lassa\u00e2d School.<\/strong> <strong>All the masks were made by Amleto Sartori and Donato Sartori.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><u><span class=\"lettrine\">B<\/span>irth of the Neutral Mask<\/u>:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns are-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-7387b849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;Neutral Mask was born from the collaboration of Jacques Lecoq and Amleto Sartori who was a great sculptor and the first to rediscover how to make the Commedia dell&rsquo;Arte masks in leather. Other types of masks: the expressive masks were developed in Amleto&rsquo;s studios in Abano Terme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following on from his father, Donato Sartori continued his research into the design and wearing of the masks. Together with Paola Piizi, they founded the MUSEO INTERNAZIONALE DELLA MASCHERA AMLETO E DONATO SARTORI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><u><span class=\"lettrine\">U<\/span>sing the Neutral Mask<\/u>:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is first and foremost a magnificent object, then a fundamental teaching instrument. It has now become what we know it to be: at times respected, and at times mistreated or used in a way that bears little resemblance to its original objective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This can be easily seen in the often anarchic use it is put to in numerous places and workshops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thirty years ago academic institutions disparaged Neutral Mask work in actor training.
